West Ham United will apparently be able to sign a striker perfectly suited to our system for an absolute bargain £17 million fee in the January transfer window.
The January transfer window will be a vital one for West Ham boss David Moyes, with the addition of a striker undoubtedly his top priority.
After the injuries sustained by Hammers duo Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen whilst away on international duty, Moyes has been heavily linked with a big money move to sign a striker this winter.
Antonio has been awful this season in all fairness, and is clearly on the decline. So regardless of his injury, Moyes needed to sign an upgrade on the 33-year-old anyway.
The Scot needs to sign someone who suits his system – a striker who’s incredibly physical and is willing to run the channels.
And it seems as though the West Ham boss has a chance to sign the perfect striker for his system in January…

West Ham can sign perfect striker in January
It seems as though the Hammers will be able to sign Boulaye Dia for a proper bargain this winter.
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Dia has two release clauses inserted into his contract with Salernitana – one for €20 million (£17.4 million) for clubs participating in UEFA competitions and another for €22 million (£19 million) for clubs who are not in UEFA comps.
Aside from maybe Armando Broja and Victor Boniface, you will not be able to find a striker better suited to Moyes’s system than the 27-year-old Salernitana forward.
He is incredibly strong, has impressive pace, is always willing to run the channels and he’s a pretty good finisher as well.
The Senegal international has bagged 20 goals and six assists in 43 games for Salernitana since joining them in the summer of 2022 (Transfermarkt).
Boulaye Dia would be a huge upgrade on Michail Antonio, and he’d take us to another level in my opinion.
West Ham should not hesitate to sign him for just £17.4 million in the January transfer window – he’d be absolutely ideal for us.
