But is seems as though the Scot’s first move has been to bolster West Ham’s academy. The Hammers boss has repeatedly insisted that he wants to bring young and exciting talents to the London Stadium.

And ExWHUemployee claimed that West Ham have taken advantage of Southend’s financial woes by snapping up 15-year-old Justin Osagie, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast:

“We have actually signed someone. He’s called Justin Osagie. He’s an under-16 player from Southend. They have massive financial issues so we’ve picked up one of their academy players.”

Osagie will join up with West Ham’s under-16 academy.

Aside from ExWHUemployee’s claim, another Hammers insider Claret and Hugh claims that the youngster had previously been scouted by Crystal Palace.

We obivously don’t know much about the 15-year-old midfielder. So this is very much a signing made with a view to developing him into a star of the future.

David Moyes has clearly seen something impressive about the teenager, however.

So fingers crossed that he goes on to become a top class player in the famous claret and blue.
