Hammers boss David Moyes will be on the look out for further central defensive reinforcements in January.

The Scot brought Craig Dawson to the London Stadium on a season-long loan from Watford in the summer. He is still yet to play a game for West Ham, however.

It would be no surprise to see Dawson sent back to Vicarage Road next month.

ExWHUemployee said that he expects Silkeborg defender Frederik Alves to join West Ham ‘very soon’, when speaking during a Q&A session for the West Ham Way.

Midtjyllands Avis claimed a few days ago that the Dane is set to join West Ham imminently.

The 21-year-old is a real talent, and although nothing is guaranteed, he has all the makings of a top class defender.

Alves has already made more than 50 appearances for Silkeborg and has proved just how classy he is.

Moving to the Premier League would be a massive jump up in quality and intensity, however.

The early signs are very good for Alves though. It would be no surprise to see him go on and become a star in England’s top flight. And West Ham fans should be very excited about the young Dane’s unquestionable potential.
