ExWHUemployee has claimed that West Ham are still keen to sign Sheffield United midfielder John Lundstram. The Hammers insider suggested that David Moyes’s priority in January is to sign a left sided wing-back, however.

According to a recent report from the Star, Sheffield United will listen to offers for the 26-year-old in January.

John Lundstram will be out of contract in the summer. So the Blades will surely want to sell the former Oxford United ace next month rather than risk losing him for nothing further down the line.

The Sheffield Star claimed back in September that West Ham boss David Moyes wants to bring Lundstram to the London Stadium.

And considering the Hammers’ lack of strength in depth in central midfield, signing the 24-year-old would be a wise move from the east London outfit.

Blades ace still a target

ExWHUemployee has claimed that West Ham are still very much keen on bringing John Lundstram to east London from Bramall Lane.

The Hammers insider suggested that David Moyes’s priority in January will be to sign a left wing-back in light of Arthur Masuaku being ruled out after undergoing knee surgery.

If West Ham could sign a left wing-back – someone like Junior Firpo or Oleksandr Zinchenko as well as Lundstram and a centre-forward like Josh King, we would be in a great position to challenge for the top six finish in the table.

We all know that funds are tight at the London Stadium, however. So perhaps the West Ham fans will have to settle for one or a maximum of two of those potential signings in January.
