The Hammers signed Lanzini for £9 million (Daily Mail) in the summer of 2016 after he impressed on loan during the previous campaign.
The mercurial Argentinian ace has really struggled for form since suffering a serious injury during the build up to the 2018 World Cup. It came at such a bad time for the West Ham ace. Unfortunately, he has never really recovered.
Manuel Lanzini was such a popular player in east London. And he still is if truth be told.

The South American has shown encouraging signs in recent weeks. And the 27-year-old is surely nailed on to start away at Chelsea on Monday night after his impressive cameo against Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
Hopefully Lanzini can rediscover the form that made him such a hit at Upton Park and the London Stadium.

Eurosport reckon that the former River Plate ace could be moved on in January, however. That’s as long as the Hammers receive a suitable offer for the play-maker.
It is surely too early to give up on Manuel Lanzini, however. The 27-year-old has shown signs recently that he still has so much to offer West Ham.
Cashing in on him now could be a big mistake. If he hasn’t produced the goods by next summer, however, perhaps then will be the right time for the Hammers to cut ties with the Argentine.
