ExWHUemployee provides transfer update and claims Moyes is keen to bring Bordeaux ace Josh Maja to West Ham

ExWHUemployee provided a transfer update and claimed that West Ham boss David Moyes is keen to sign Bordeaux forward Josh Maja this month, when speaking on the West Ham Way Podcast last night (Wednesday January 20th).

The Hammers manager absolutely must bring in a new centre-forward this month.

We cannot rely on Michail Antonio for the entire campaign what with the 30-year-old’s hamstring problems.

West Ham have started their 2020/21 Premier League campaign superbly.

We are currently sitting in seventh spot in the table just two points adrift of fourth placed Liverpool.

David Moyes has done a wonderful job since taking over at the London Stadium for the second time in December 2019.

If the Scot is to take the Hammers to another level, however, he needs to sign a top class striker. That goes without saying.

ExWHUemployee transfer update

It seems as though the man for the job could be Sunderland ace Josh Maja.

ExWHUemployee claimed that the Bordeaux hitman could be a target for David Moyes this month when providing a transfer update on the West Ham Way podcast:

“There’s another guy called Josh Maja who plays for Bordeaux. He was with Moyes at Sunderland. He’s young, Moyes Likes him and we’ve been linked with him before. If he is available he’s definitely someone who Moyes has kept on the radar for a while.”

Maja, 22, was managed by David Moyes during the Scot’s time in charge at Sunderland.

The London born striker left the Black Cats to join Bordeaux two years ago and has racked up 11 goals in 48 games for the Ligue 1 outfit (Transfermarkt).

He is far from prolific but is an incredibly hard worker and possesses pace in abundance.

The Sun suggests that Josh Maja could be available for around £10 million.

Whether he is worthy that kind of fee is highly debatable, however, and West Ham should surely be setting their sights higher this month.
