ExWHUemployee has ruled out any chance of West Ham United signing Diego Costa on deadline day.
In other news…Jamie Redknapp really disliked something David Moyes did yesterday
Sky Sports News Transfer centre (Monday, February 1st, 12:05pm) claimed that an unnamed top six Premier League club offered the 32-year-old a short-term deal today.
Tancredi Palmeri – a football correspondent for beIN Sports, then claimed that Costa has in fact been offered to the Hammers.
Let’s not get too excited, however. It seems as though further disappointment awaits us.

ExWHUemployee delivers Diego Costa update
It’s not good news for the West Ham fans.
ExWHUemployee has completely ruled out the possibility of David Moyes bringing the former Chelsea striker to the London Stadium on deadline day:
West Ham risk throwing away their fine start to the season by not signing a striker today.
It’s not Moyes’s fault. We all know where the blame lies.
Diego Costa would have been a decent option for the Hammers. Sure, he wouldn’t have been the first choice for most people. The 32-year-old would have been measurably better than signing nobody at all, however.
Less than five hours remains before the transfer window slams shut. It looks like we will end up without a new striker. We may as well accept it now. We won’t get relegated this season, so that’s a huge bonus.
It’s just such a shame that the owners haven’t given David Moyes the best chance possible of really taking West Ham United forward this term.
