Hammers boss David Moyes sold Sebastien Haller to Ajax in January for around £20 million.
Incredibly, the Scot didn’t replace the Ivory Coast international.
Whether that was his decision or the board’s is up for debate.

Either way, it was a crazy choice to make.
What’s done is done. however. And West Ham absolutely must address their centre-forward deficiencies in the summer.
The Hammers have already been linked with numerous strikers.
ExWHUemployee names four-man striker shortlist for West Ham this summer
David Moyes will already be drawing up a list of targets.
ExWHUemployee named four forwards who are on the Hammers’ short-list ahead of the summer transfer window, when delivering his weekly transfer update:

“We will definitely try to sign a forward in summer. Toney of Brentford, En-Nesyri of Sevilla, Armstrong at Blackburn and Abraham at Chelsea. They’re all potential signings. It’s all still dependent of a few factors right now.”
Any of the four names mentioned would be welcome additions for the Hammers.
Chelsea ace Abraham, Sevilla hitman En-Nesyri, Blackburn striker Armstrong and Brentford centre-forward Toney all have attributes that obviously appeal to David Moyes.
And if West Ham manage to sign two of those strikers this summer, we could be in for a very successful campaign next season.
