Everton star Demarai Gray is now pushing for an exit after surprise West Ham links as a journalist delivers an update.
And it has been widely reported that Everton are thought to be demanding between £10-12 million for him.
The likes of Besiktas and Fulham have also been linked.
Now there has been a big development because the player is taking action to force a departure.
That’s according to journalist Alan Nixon.
Everton star Demarai Gray is now pushing for an exit after his surprise West Ham links as journalist delivers an update.
Nixon says Gray is ‘pushing for an exit’ at Everton and suggests Fulham are haggling over a deal.
That could open the door for West Ham if they make a better offer to the Toffees who ‘want as much as possible’ for Gray.
“Fulham have been bidding below what Everton want for the new Jamaica international who is in the last year of his contract.”
West Ham are clearly looking to bring in a left-sided attacker in the summer window.
The Hammers were heavily linked with Harvey Barnes before he joined Newcastle.
Everton will almost certainly sell to avoid Gray leaving on a free transfer. And West Ham will surely be encouraged by Fulham’s reluctance to meet his asking price.
The Hammers also have Europa League football to offer and are clearly a much bigger club than the Cottagers.
Another source of encouragement for West Ham is the fact Marco Silva is said to be close to bringing in Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea – a similar player to Gray who operates in the same position.
