Emmanuel Petit has warned Arsenal off a star who has been linked with surprise January move to West Ham in a damning verdict.
Most pundits and fans are in agreement that West Ham and Arsenal very much share one thing in common right now.
The Hammers and the Gunners are in desperate need of a quality new forward.
West Ham knocked Arsenal out of the Carabao Cup last week with a new-look attack and Jarrod Bowen leading the line.

But both David Moyes and Mikel Arteta could only watch as their lack of a bona fide top level striker cost their dear in defeats to Brentford and Newcastle respectively at the weekend.
Moyes has fully opened up on his frustrating search for a replacement for Michail Antonio.
The likes of Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher have remarked that Arsenal should have signed a forward in the summer.
Well just over a month ago West Ham and Arsenal were linked with a mutual interest in PSG star Ousmane Dembele by The Mirror.

Petit solution to a big problem for Hammers but not Arsenal?
We carried the report here on Hammers News and looked at why, despite the Dembele links sounding like pie in the sky for West Ham, it might actually end up having legs as it was purely a short-term loan with the player needed game time ahead of next summer’s Euros.
Well if the opinion of one of Arsenal’s former greats still carries weight at his old club, the Hammers may have just received a big boost if the Dembele interest is genuine.
Emmanuel Petit has warned Arsenal off the star who has been linked with a surprise January move to West Ham in a damning Dembele verdict.

If legend’s opinion still carries weight with Gunners it could be good news for West Ham
“I wouldn’t sign him (Dembele for Arsenal),” Petit said, as quoted in a story on The Mirror.
“He constantly wastes opportunities and doesn’t score goals.
“He’s had a difficult start at PSG, which is why I wouldn’t be in favour of bringing Dembele to Arsenal.”
A move for Dembele – who proved he is still a top tier player with his performances for Barcelona last season – may seem highly unlikely on the surface.
But West Ham’s strong French-speaking contingent could play a role in luring him to east London – especially if it is only a loan deal.
If Brighton can sign Ansu Fati on loan then why can’t the Hammers get a player like Dembele for the short term?
And there’s no doubting he’d get game time ahead of the likes of ageing and misfiring Antonio.
