Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth has taken to Twitter to provide a Filip Kostic update for the West Ham United fans.

Hammers boss David Moyes is doing everything in his power to bring the 29-year-old to the London Stadium this summer (Calciomercato).

West Ham allegedly could face competition from the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan for the Serbia international’s signature, however.

Signing a top class left wing-back is clearly one of the main priorities for David Moyes between now and the end of the transfer window.

Kostic has great versatility and is available for around £15 million according to The Sun’s Jack Rosser.

That sounds like great value to us and the Hammers are seemingly not giving up on a move to sign him just yet, in spite of recent setbacks.

Dharmesh Sheth provides Filip Kostic update

The transfer saga involving West Ham and the 29-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt ace has been a long drawn-out one so far and it seems as though there will be plenty more twists and turns still to come.

The Sky Sports reporter took to Twitter this afternoon and provided an update for the Hammers fans.

Sheth tweeted:

We would absolutely love to see Kostic at the London Stadium, he’s an incredible player.

The Eintracht Frankfurt ace is very hard-working and always puts in a real shift – something that will obviously appeal to Moyes.

He is old fashioned in the sense that he’s left-footed and plays on the left! As a result, Kostic is much more of a provider than a goalscorer.

The 48-capped Serbia international bagged 15 assists and seven goals in 43 games for Eintracht Frankfurt last season (Transfermarkt). That’s a healthy return by anyone’s standards.

Kostic would be a huge upgrade on any options that Moyes has in the left wing-back department and the beauty of the Serb is that he can play further forward as well, so would add so much versatility to the Hammers squad.

He’d undoubtedly be a huge hit at the London Stadium.

After the Dharmesh Sheth update on Filip Kostic, it seems as though West Ham are still well in the race to sign him.
