West Ham United have had their minds made up for them by Newcastle United it seems.

West Ham and Newcastle both face incredibly busy summer transfer windows ahead of them.

The Toon will obviously have more funds to play with than the Hammers.

Graham Potter desperately needs to strengthen his ranks at the London Stadium.

The good news is that the Hammers head coach is keen to add more dynamism and youth to his West Ham squad in the summer transfer window.

The bad news is that funds are said to be tight at the London Stadium.

And with that in mind, Newcastle are about to make one decision very easy for the Hammers.

Decision made for West Ham as Newcastle ready Vangelis Pavlidis bid

The Hammers and the Toon are both keen to sign Vangelis Pavlidis this summer.

West Ham have been linked with a move to sign Vangelis Pavlidis for quite some time now.

However, the East London outfit won’t be bidding for him now.

That’s because Newcastle are ready to make a move for the prolific 26-year-old striker, according to Record.

He has bagged an incredible 24 goals and 10 assists in 46 games for Benfica so far this season.

The Greek hitman is an elite centre-forward, but West Ham won’t be going anywhere near his £85 million release clause.

West Ham’s main summer striker target

It seems like Jonathan David is the man Potter wants at West Ham.

The Hammers are said to be in a strong position to sign the 25-year-old Canadian in the summer transfer window.

If Potter does manage to bring the Lille hitman to the London Stadium on a free transfer, it would be a truly incredible deal for the club.

However, Vangelis Pavlidis will be out of West Ham’s reach, after Newcastle threw their hat in the ring to obtain his signature.

That said, the West Ham fans will surely take David over Pavlidis every day of the week.
