That’s according to West Ham insiders Claret & Hugh – who have direct links to co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold.

Moyes continues to be linked with the vacant managerial role at Celtic.

Speculation has been rife that Celtic have ‘sounded out’ the West Ham boss as their replacement for Neil Lennon this summer.

Celtic become the elephant in the room for West Ham

It comes as Moyes leads West Ham to what promises to be their best season for 35 years.

It is quite the contrast to the campaign Celtic have endured.

Moyes is on course to automatically trigger an extension to his West Ham contract. But he is yet to agree a longer term deal that is said to be in the offing.

And Moyes’s old club Celtic have become the elephant in the room following Lennon’s departure.

GiveMeSport recently published an exclusive claiming Celtic have approached West Ham for their former centre back.

The Hammers boss has been described as ‘the natural fit’ to rebuild the Glaswegian giants (Daily Record).

Speculation continues to swirl over Celtic approach for former Hoops defender Moyes

West Ham legend and boyhood Hoops fan Trevor Sinclair has even been talking up Moyes for the Celtic job (talkSPORT).

This week Kevin Phillips told Football Insider that Moyes may decide to leave West Ham. That’s if owners Sullivan and Gold do not give him a decent transfer kitty in the summer.

Moyes recently played down talk around a new West Ham contract,. He insisted he was happy to get the situation sorted in the summer.

But as the Scot’s stock continues to rise many West Ham fans are concerned the lure of rebuilding his old club Celtic could prove tempting.

Insider with direct links to Hammers owners says Moyes will make definite decision and sign new deal

Many Celtic fans had dismissed the prospect of Moyes as manager in the past. But they too have been warming to the idea in light of West Ham’s rise.

But Claret & Hugh has now claimed that Moyes will make a definite decision to reject any Celtic approach.

And he will be rewarded with a new two-year West Ham deal in the summer. The contract will also have the option for a further year.

“It is believed he will be offered a new 24-month contract in the summer with another 12-month option to extend if the Hammers finish 13th or above in the Premier League in his final year of a new contract,” Claret & Hugh claimed last night.

“Both sides are happy with each other see no need for change over the summer.

“Moyes would turn down any approach by Celtic.”
