David Moyes is being urged to sign Everton star Lucas Digne after his bust-up with Rafa Benitez and he’s just what West Ham need.
It has been clear West Ham have needed a new left-back for some time now. Meanwhile Digne has been a revelation at Everton since joining from Barcelona.
Aaron Cresswell has enjoyed a remarkable revival under Moyes and has been one of West Ham’s best players over the last two years.

Indeed the West Ham and Everton left-backs Cresswell and Digne – along with Hammers star Vladimir Coufal – battled it out to top the full-back assists charts last season. And it was Cresswell who came out on top with eight with Everton’s Digne and Coufal both ending the campaign on seven.
West Ham’s need for another left-back has been exposed of late with Cresswell missing after injuring his back.
The Hammers have won just once in their last six games and dropped out of the top four following defeat to Arsenal in midweek.

David Moyes urged to sign Everton star Lucas Digne after bust-up with Rafa Benitez and he’s just what West Ham need
Moyes has seriously missed Cresswell with Arthur Masuaku absolutely hapless as a defender.
Everton meanwhile have been struggling and Digne’s future at the club is in serious doubt after a bust-up with Toffees boss Benitez.
Digne has been left out of the Everton squad of late after a row with Benitez.

And the Spanish manager this week hinted at a further breakdown in his relationship with the fans favourite after the defender pulled out of his squad with sickness (The Mirror).
Reports are now abound that Everton will listen to offers for Digne in January (The Telegraph).
As a result some West Ham fans are urging Moyes to make a move to bring the Frenchman to the London Stadium.

Many Hammers fans feel it is too good an opportunity to pass up if Digne is available.
But some have pointed out that Moyes may not want to risk upsetting the great team spirit at West Ham by bringing in someone who has the propensity to be at odds with his manager. See the Twitter thread below to get a flavour of the opinions among fans.
Digne is three years younger than Cresswell and would join a growing French and French speaking contingent at West Ham if he were to join.
He would also give Moyes the option of playing a back five with Cresswell at left centre-back and Digne at left wingback for some games with Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma ruled out with long-term injuries.
Digne is a quality player and given his circumstances at Everton, he could be an ideal signing for West Ham.
