West Ham United boss David Moyes has reignited interest in Spain forward Mikel Oyarzabal, a player he gave his debut while at Real Sociedad.
‘Talks continue’ Ornstein delivers major update in West Ham striker chase
West Ham were linked with Oyarzabal in the summer.
According to a report The Sun back in April, Hammers manager Moyes ‘loves’ Oyarzabal and wanted to bring him to the London Stadium.

Moyes reignites interest in Oyarzabal – insider
Oyarzabal played alongside Pablo Fornals when Spain Under 21s lifted the European Championship back in the summer of 2019.
And the reported West Ham target has gone on to establish himself in the senior Spain team, scoring four goals in 11 appearances.
West Ham are in desperate need of a new striker having sold Sebastien Haller to Ajax for £20million.
Moyes has suffered a number of setbacks in his bid to sign a replacement this month.
Offers for Reims striker Boulaye Dia and Youssef En-Nesyri have been rejected (The Athletic).

Hammers boss previously reported to ‘love’ Spain forward and now considering new move after setbacks
And Josh King is said to be pricing himself out of move due to high wage demands (The Mirror).
So Moyes is once again looking to Oyarzabal according to West Ham insider ExWHUemployee.
Delivering an update on West Ham’s transfer situation on his Patreon site, Ex claims Moyes still ‘loves’ Oyarzabal – as previously reported by The Sun. And another La Liga striker, Gerard Moreno, is also of interest to Moyes.
“Rather than have one or two clear targets we seem to put in a lot of bids and see which is the best value for money that we can get,” ExWHUemployee said on his Patreon site.
“Gerard Moreno of Villarreal and Mikel Oyarzabal of Real Sociedad (a player Moyes loves from his time in Spain) are forwards that we have also considered offers for.
“Don’t be surprised if further forward names get thrown into the mix in coming days as the race to get a forward in intensifies.”

Forward’s brilliant hold-up play and cool finishing have made him a fully fledged Spain international
Oyarzabal is noted for his top class hold-up play.
And he is a cool finisher, something West Ham have sorely lacked at times this season.
At 23 he is exactly the type of profile of player Moyes is looking to bring to West Ham.
It could also help bring the absolute best out of Fornals. The duo enjoyed an excellent understanding playing for Spain’s Under 21s with great success.
