West Ham United boss David Moyes has given supporters hope that he will add to his squad before next Monday’s deadline.
Fortuna’s not always hiding for Haller but does it really count for anything?
The transfer window closes at 11pm on Monday February 1st.
West Ham desperately need a new striker. But the Hammers could also do with more depth in central midfield and a left-back.

Deadline countdown begins for West Ham to do business
West Ham looked to have hit a brick wall in their attempts to sign a striker.
But speculation continues to swirl with the east Londoners linked to a number of forward, midfielders and left-backs.
The likes of Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard (Daily Mail) and RB Leipzig forward Hwang Hee-Chan (Bild & Daily Mail) have been heavily linked.
Hee-Chan’s teammate at RB Leipzig, young English left-back Matthew Bondswell, is also said to be a target for a loan move (Football Insider).
Man United midfielder Jesse Lingard is also said to be a prime target for Moyes (Evening Standard).

Moyes appears to suggest West Ham could make more than one signing
Moyes was asked for an update on potential business in his pre-Crystal Palace press conference.
And Moyes appeared to hint West Ham could make more than one signing before the window slams shut (whufc.com).
“I’m hopeful (of adding to the squad) but again I can’t promise anything,” Moyes told the press (whufc.com).
“We’re trying a couple of things at the moment and we’ll have to wait and see.”
Moyes has been keen to stress he would not sign players for the sake of it this month.

Moyes won’t sign players for the sake of it but Hammers must have squad depth to build on superb start
But after leading West Ham to their best start to a top flight season in 35 years, failure to ensure the squad has strength in depth could put a potentially promising campaign in jeopardy.
A combination of a restricted budget due to Covid and a lack of significant personal investment from the club’s owners looked set to leave Moyes with little or no money to spend in January.
But West Ham’s coffers have been boosted by the sale of Sebastien Haller to Ajax for £20million.
How far Moyes can stretch that in the next seven days remains to be seen.
Should the Scot not feel a particular deal is right, though, he will not be afraid to head into the second half of the season utilising what he has at his disposal and blooding youth.
