David Moyes has big problem as report makes Harrison Ashby claim with Leeds lurking

Leeds United are allegedly eyeing up a move to sign West Ham youngster Harrison Ashby in the January transfer window.

That’s according to The Sun journalist Alan Nixon (writing on his Patreon) who claims that Leeds will try again for Ashby, having failed to sign him in the summer window.

That said, West Ham will try to tie the 20-year-old down to a new contract at the London Stadium according to Nixon.

Newcastle tried to sign Ashby as well on deadline day but failed in the end after the Hammers refused to sell him, with Ben Johnson out injured.

We’d be fuming if he was allowed to leave the London Stadium to join Leeds or Newcastle.

He has so much about him and has already proven that he is capable of mixing it up with seasoned veterans for the West Ham senior team.

It seems as though David Moyes may have another battle on his hands in four month’s time, however, if he is to keep Ashby at West Ham…

The West Ham owners and Moyes need to do everything they can to keep Ashby at the London Stadium.

Described as an ‘excellent’ player by Football.London, the 20-year-old is one of the brightest talents to be coming through the ranks at the London Stadium and he was in sensational form for the under-23s last term.

The 20-year-old clearly has all of the attributes needed to make it at the very highest level.

If he continues to work hard and applies himself properly, both on and off the pitch, the young right-back will have a very bright future ahead of him in the game.

He certainly worked hard on his physique in the off-season, and seems like he’s more than ready to play regular Premier League football now.

Losing Harrison Ashby to Leeds in January would be a truly massive blow for West Ham.

Let’s just hope that Moyes manages to convince the youngster to sign a new long-term deal before the January transfer window opens.
