David Moyes finally delivers some positive transfer news for West Ham as boss hints signings coming soon

West Ham United boss David Moyes has finally delivered a positive transfer update for fans.

Insider says West Ham stars tell him Moyes outcast is the best player in training

West Ham are the only club in the Premier League not to have signed a new player this summer.

Unpopular co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold have been pleading poverty due to the global health crisis.

But that has not stopped the other 19 Premier League clubs splashing the cash with spending approaching the £1billion mark.

West Ham dragging their heels in transfer window

West Ham fans cannot fathom how the club have left it this long to do any business as the clock ticks down on the transfer window.

Especially having controversially sold young star Grady Diangana to West Brom for £20million.

But signings are on the way and could be announced in the next week.

That’s according to Moyes himself.

Speaking to the press before the daunting trip to face Arsenal on Saturday night, Moyes said signings are close.

And he explained that he has taken his time to make sure West Ham are getting the right players on board.

‘Signings edging closer’ says Moyes

“I think we’re closer to getting players in,” Moyes told the press, as reported by

“We’re edging towards it. Behind the scenes we’ve had a couple of offers in for different players and we’re waiting on different outcomes, so I’m hoping we might have some news next week at some time.

“We’re trying to get ones in who will give us good balance to the squad, but we’re also having to think really clearly to get the right ones and make sure we’re doing the right thing.”

Defenders or a midfielder the targets says Hammers boss

Moyes is looking to bring in defenders.

And the Hammers are being heavily linked with moves for James Tarkowski and 31-year-old Croatian centre-back Domagoj Vida (Takvim).

But the Scot also told the press that he may move for a midfielder instead and use Declan Rice in defence should he need to.

West Ham fans will be delighted to hear the club are close on signings.

It comes as pressure builds on the owners over – among many other things – a lack of investment.
