West Ham United have been given a massive boost in their reported pursuit of David Moyes striker target Danny Ings.
West Ham have been heavily linked with an ambitious move for Southampton star Ings this summer.
After selling Sebastien Haller in January, Moyes banked £20m towards signing at least one new forward in this window.
The likes of The Sun claimed Moyes is keen on the former England striker.

Moyes long linked with move for Ings amid contract impasse at Saints
And West Ham insider ExWHUemployee claimed the Scot could try to sign Ings this summer, when speaking on The West Ham Way podcast.
West Ham’s lack of striker options is well documented.
And the Hammers have already missed out on reported targets this summer such as Patson Daka.
So Moyes’s interest in Ings could be ramped up. Especially after news broke today that the 28-year-old has rejected Southampton’s offer to make him the best paid player in the club’s history.

Massive boost for West Ham’s hopes as Ings rejects record Southampton deal
Ings’s contract expires next summer and he has been linked with the likes of West Ham, Tottenham and even Manchester City.
The striker is said to want European football – something West Ham can offer having qualified for the Europa League group stages following their excellent sixth place finish last season.
Ings scored 14 goals for the struggling Saints last season.

Fantastic goal ratio but questionable injury record
He has bagged 34 goals in 67 Premier League games since Southampton signed him permanently in 2019 for a £20m fee from Liverpool.
But the forward also has a questionable injury record.
