One West Ham United player in particular could be set to leave the club in the January transfer window.

West Ham boss David Moyes has a lot of work to do in the upcoming January transfer window, with numerous signings needed if we are to maintain our fine start to the season during the second half of the campaign.

However, the Hammers manager will probably have to let one or two players leave the London Stadium as well in order to balance the books.

According to Estadio Deportivo, Sevilla are pushing really hard to sign Pablo Fornals in the January transfer window.

The 27-year-old recently signed a new one-year contract extension with West Ham – just one month ago in fact (The Athletic).

Fornals has actually been terrible for the Hammers this season, but despite that form, he has been linked with a move to Barcelona.

And his time at the club could now well be finished…

Fornals linked with January exit from West Ham

Estadio Deportivo are claiming that Fornals is a transfer target for Sevilla this winter.

It wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if the Spaniard left the club in January – he has barely contributed this season.

Moyes has given Pablo Fornals just 237 minutes of action in the Premier League so far this term (Transfermarkt).

The former Villarreal man has regressed badly over the past 12 months or so. Whether that’s due to his own application during training or whether his lack of game-time has adversely affected him is debatable.

One thing’s for sure – if West Ham receive a decent offer for the 27-year-old in January, he will be off, I have absolutely no doubts whatsoever about that.
