Chris Wood to join West Ham? The Mirror reckons there a chance that the towering Kiwi could end up at the London Stadium this summer.

The Hammers are one of three Premier League clubs thought to be chasing the Burnley hitman.

Aston Villa and Everton allegedly want to sign the 29-year-old as well.

David Moyes obviously needs to bring an established striker to West Ham before the start of next season.

Out of the three clubs mentioned, the Hammers are most in need of signing a top class centre-forward.

Chris Wood on West Ham radar?

The Mirror claims that David Moyes is a keen admirer of the 56-capped New Zealand international

The Hammers fans know all about the Burnley ace’s quality. He has scored seven goals in 10 games against the East London outfit throughout his career so far (Transfermarkt).

Some West Ham fans would undoubtedly turn their noses up at the idea of signing Chris Wood.

The 29-year-old is an incredibly consistent performer, however, having scored 46 Premier League goals since the start of the 2017/18 season.

The Clarets hitman is big, strong and a real handful for opposing defenders. He would be a real focal point for West Ham’s attack.

He would certainly provide adequate competition and cover for Michail Antonio.

Whether West Ham will be able to beat Aston Villa and Everton to his signature this summer, however, remains to be seen.
