West Ham United will have their work-cut if they are to sign Fiorentina hitman Dusan Vlahovic this summer with AC Milan leading the race for his signature according to a report from Eurosport.

Hammers boss David Moyes will be prioritising a move to sign a new striker in the summer.

The Scot has Michail Antonio as his only recognised senior centre-forward at the London Stadium at the moment.

That really is incredibly negligent. We can’t blame Moyes, however. We all know where the problem lies. But that conversation is for another day.

What is important now is getting it right in the summer.

West Ham need to sign at least one established striker at the end of the season. If we’re being honest, we actually need at least two.

Beggars can’t be choosers though. The reality is that the Hammers owners will probably only be prepared to make one big name striker signing this summer.

One striker who has been linked with a move to the London Stadium recently is Dusan Vlahovic.

The Fiorentina hitman, 21, is on West Ham’s radar according to a report from Calcio Mercato.

West Ham could miss out on Dusan Vlahovic to AC Milan

Eurosport claims that the Italian giants are leading the race for the seven-capped Serbia international’s signature.

Missing out on Vlahovic would be a real shame. He is such an incredible young talent.

The Serbia international has scored 13 goals in 28 Serie A games for Fiorentina this season (Transfermarkt).

Back in 2016, Vlahovic was scouted by Juventus with the Italian club’s scouts branding him as ‘the new Zlatan Ibrahimovic’ (The Sun).

Fiorentina are demanding £25 million for his services (Roma Press). If West Ham are going to spend big on a striker, Vlahovic would be a very good option for that kind of price.

It seems as though AC Milan’s interest in the 21-year-old could be a big problem for the Hammers, however.
