The 22-year-old has been in sensational form for the Hammers and the England national team this season.

In fact, he has been West Ham’s best and most consistent player over the past three campaigns.

Rice has never really received the praise that he so rightly deserves outside of the London Stadium.

That has all changed over this past week, however.

Fans of other clubs are beginning to wise up about how good the 22-year-old West Ham midfielder is.

Rice earned back-to-back man of the match awards for England during wins over Albania and Poland respectively.

Jason Cundy absolutely raves about Declan Rice

The 22-year-old is one of the best young players in the Premier League and beyond.

Cundy suggested that he is good enough to play for any side, when speaking on talkSPORT yesterday:

“I’ve seen a huge amount of Declan and he’s getting better and better. And I think he’s good enough to go in at any team…and I’m putting Manchester City in there as well. He’s good enough for anyone. Right now, West Ham is perfect for him. Him and Soucek are one of the best pairs in the league and I’ve seen a young man there develop into a leader.”

Keeping hold of Rice will be pivotal to West Ham’s chances of making progress over the next few years.

Chelsea and Manchester United have both been strongly linked with summer moves to sign the 22-year-old starlet (talkSPORT).

Hammers boss David Moyes has said that he wouldn’t even entertain offers of £100 million for Rice, however (The Telegraph).

Let’s hope the board are thinking along the same lines. Life without Dec at the London Stadium doesn’t bear thinking about.
