West Ham United allegedly could miss out on Burnley ace Dwight McNeil to Everton in the summer transfer window.

That’s according to a report from 90min who claim that Everton have had a £20 million bid accepted for the 22-year-old Burnley star.

Missing out on McNeil to Everton would be a blow for West Ham.

Despite the poor numbers that the 22-year-old recorded last season, he is a very good player indeed.

McNeil has been described as ‘sensational’ by Lancs Live.

The 22-year-old would be a very useful addition to David Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium in my opinion but it appears as though Everton are in the box seat to sign him…

Everton have Dwight McNeil bid accepted

90min reckon that the Toffees have lodged a £20 million bid for the Burnley star and it has allegedly been accepted.

We believe that £20 million for McNeil actually represents very good value indeed, especially considering his versatility.

The 22-year-old is an old fashioned, left-footed left winger. He can also operate in left midfield or even in the left wing-back role.

He did struggle for Burnley last term, however, bagging just one assist and zero goals in 38 Premier League games. That was a real drop off from his seven goal involvements in 36 games the season before (Transfermarkt).

Having said all of that, McNeil is still a very effective player, even when he isn’t contributing in the final third.

The young Burnley ace always puts in a defence shift and that will undoubtedly appeal to David Moyes. He possesses a truly exceptional delivery as well.

He averaged 2.1 tackles and one interception per game in the Premier League last season – very impressive defensive numbers for a so-called attacking player (Who Scored).

The 22-year-old really is a very impressive all-round player.

Judging by the latest round of reports, it seems as though Everton could beat West Ham to the signing of Dwight McNeil this summer. And that will be a real shame in my opinion.
