Blackburn Rovers have responded over West Ham interest in their striker David Moyes is ‘eager’ to sign during the January window.
Blackburn sensation Ben Brereton Diaz is being monitored by a number of clubs and West Ham are keeping an ‘eager eye’ on his situation according to The Evening Standard.
It is one of the worst kept secrets in football that West Ham want and need a new striker in January.
Hammers boss Moyes has been relying solely on Michail Antonio up front ever since selling Sebastien Haller to Ajax one year ago.
The window has only been open for a few days, but West Ham have already been linked with a host of forwards.
One such reported target is Blackburn sensation Ben Brereton Diaz.
The Evening Standard claims West Ham are one of the clubs looking to try and sign Brereton Diaz this month.

But Blackburn Rovers have responded to interest from West Ham and other clubs by insisting – via Sky Sports – that they do not want to sell their top scorer.
Brereton Diaz, a Chile international, has scored 20 league goals already this season and has also been linked with Leeds and Newcastle.
“Sky Sports News understands owners Venkys want to keep the current squad, who are currently in the automatic promotion places in the Championship, intact and are looking to continue to support manager Tony Mowbray in his quest to return the club to the top flight,” Sky Sports reports.
“Mowbray has said recently that he wouldn’t stand in the players way in the future if the right deal came in but together with the owners stance, a January move for the Chilean striker looks unlikely.
“Brereton has six months left on his current contract with the club having a further 12 month option.”
West Ham fans are watching on eagerly to see what kind of backing Moyes gets in the January window with the Hammers hoping to make a promising season an unforgettable one.
The Scot clearly needs to add to his squad, particularly in defence and up front.
