Big blow for West Ham with Leeds reportedly closing in on £21 million 'speed demon' Arnaud Kalimuendo

West Ham United allegedly look set to miss out on the signing of Arnaud Kalimuendo to Leeds United this summer.

That’s according to a report from 90min who claim that Leeds are close to agreeing a £21 million fee for the Paris Saint-Germain striker.

Hammers boss David Moyes is allegedly keen to bring the talented 20-year-old PSG ace to the London Stadium this summer.

It seems as though Leeds manager Jesse Marsch has stolen a march on West Ham though and Kalimuendo could well now be plying his trade at Elland Road this season.

The Hammers have signed Gianluca Scamacca already this summer but we believe that the addition of another forward is needed, if we are to achieve success on all fronts this season.

The PSG youngster would be perfect for the East London outfit but it seems as though we might have to start looking elsewhere…

Leeds in poole position for Arnaud Kalimuendo

90min reckon that Leeds are closing in on a £21 million deal to sign the 20-year-old from PSG this summer.

That’s a real shame because we think the Frenchman would have been a great addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium this summer.

Kalimuendo bagged an impressive 13 goals in 35 games during a loan spell with Ligue 1 outfit Lens last season (Transfermarkt).

The France under-21 international possesses blistering pace and that’s exactly how Blaze Trends describe him – ‘explosive’. He’s also been labelled as a ‘speed demon’ by MSN.

Despite his tender years, the Frenchman is incredibly strong and possesses all of there attributes needed to succeed in England.

He has been impressing for PSG during their pre-season campaign so far, and will undoubtedly go on to become a top, top player.

£21 million for the 20-year-old seems like very good value indeed.

Unfortunately for West Ham though, it seems as though Leeds are closing in on a deal to sign Arnaud Kalimuendo.

And if he does move to England, we think he will be a huge hit in the Premier League.
