A Bola claimed Hammers boss David Moyes wants to bring the Mexican right-back to the London Stadium.

It seems as though West Ham could now have their work cut-out, however.

The 28-year-old is an attacking right-back by trade. He can also operate in the right midfield position.

Jesus has 11 assists in 40 games for Porto to his name this season (Transfermarkt).

Last season he racked up 21 assists in 51 games – incredible numbers for a right-back.

He would provide excellent competition and cover for Vladimir Coufal.

West Ham’s hopes could be dead in the water already, however, with Chelsea lurking.

O Jogo (Print edition, March 25th, front page) claims that the west London outfit are lining up a €25 million (£21 million) swoop for the Porto star.

And if Chelsea do make a concrete move for the 45-capped Mexico international, it may well be curtains as far West Ham’s hopes of signing him go.

Who knows though. Perhaps if the Hammers can pip Chelsea to fourth spot this season, we might well be able to convince Jesus Corona that his future lies at the London Stadium.
