West Ham could face competition from Arsenal for the signing of Midtjylland starlet Gustav Isaksen in the January transfer window.

That’s according to a report from Calciomercato.it who claim that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta wants to bring the 21-year-old attacker to The Emirates.

AC Milan and Newcastle are allegedly in the race for Isaksen’s signature as well, alongside the Hammers and the Gunners.

That is obviously a big blow for West Ham manager David Moyes.

The 21-year-old Denmark winger is a real talent, and it seems as though he is destined for a move to the Premier League in January…

Arsenal to challenge West Ham for Gustav Isaksen in the January transfer window

Calciomercato.it reckon that the Gunners and the Hammers are battling it out for the young Denmark international ace’s signature ahead of the January transfer window.

He has already bagged seven goals for Midtjylland so far this season.

Isaksen is an incredible young talent and has been described as a ‘wonderkid’ by The Sun.

The 21-year-old Dane has pace in abundance and is a really gifted technician. He would be a tremendous addition for either Arsenal or West Ham in the January transfer window.

He is obviously totally unproven in the Premier League, and is still very rough around the edges.

Isaksen’s ability and potential means that he will undoubtedly be a huge success at the very highest level though.

I would love to see David Moyes bring the 21-year-old to the London Stadium this winter.

Arsenal chasing the signing of Gustav Isaksen in the January transfer window will undoubtedly cause a big problem for the Hammers though.
