Bayern Munich star Leon Goretzka has responded to the shock West Ham link according to the German press and it’s exactly what you’d expect.
West Ham are yet to sign a single player in the summer transfer window and that means the Hammers are one of only three Premier League clubs yet to enter the market.
That looks set to change following the sale of Declan Rice for a British record £105m to Arsenal.
At the weekend David Moyes declared his ‘full focus’ is now on bringing players in following Rice’s departure.
And he wasn’t kidding.
West Ham have sprung into life in the last 48 hours, submitting bids and being linked with moves for a host of players.
The east Londoners have seen bids rejected for two stars and have made offers for at least two or three others.

Bayern star Leon Goretzka has responded to shock West Ham link claim German press and it’s exactly what you’d expect
Reports are claiming West Ham are closing on Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.
And an outlandish claim was made on Monday about a Hammers move for German midfielder Leon Goretzka.
Sky Sports Germany were the first to report West Ham Goretzka – who is rated at £43m by Bayern Munich and has fallen out of favour with Thomas Tuchel.
The alleged move has raised eyebrows across football with many scoffing at the idea West Ham might sign the 28-year-old.
Now Bayern star Goretzka has responded to the shock West Ham link claim German press and it’s exactly what you’d expect.
Get German Football News has confirmed the claims of West Ham’s interest. And the report makes it clear Goretzka has a bleak future at Bayern under Tuchel.

‘Chances of Goretzka playing consistently under Tuchel is low’
But any excitement at West Ham’s end has not lasted long. Because the midfielder has absolutely no interest in joining West Ham or indeed leaving Bayern at all.
“Goretzka’s current contract at Bayern expires in 2026 and they are demanding between €40-50m (£35-43m) for the 28-year-old,” GFNG reports.
“Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel would prefer to bring in a player with a similar profile to Rice who can play next to Joshua Kimmich.
“Goretzka also lost his place next to Kimmich in the Bayern midfield at the latter end of last season due to his poor performances meaning the chances of Goretzka playing consistently under Tuchel is low.
“However, the 28-year-old also does not want to leave Bayern and has no interest in speaking to other clubs over a potential transfer.”
