The Daily Star reported earlier this month that Hammers boss David Moyes wants to bring the 21-year-old Gunners hitman to the London Stadium from the Emirates in the summer.

West Ham desperately need to sign a new striker in the summer. In truth, we need two actually.

And Nketiah seems like a viable target.

Mikel Arteta is ready to let the 21-year-old Arsenal ace leave the Emirates this summer (Football.London).

There is one big problem for the Hammers, however. The Gunners could demand as much as £30 million for the young striker (talkSPORT).

Perhaps if Arsenal lower their demands to closer to £20 million, we could be in business.

Has Arsenal ace Eddie Nketiah opened door for West Ham?

The Gunners hitman is struggling with playing a bit-part role at the Emirates.

Nketiah told Football.London how playing second fiddle to the likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang is proving to be incredibly frustrating:

“It is a part of football but one that obviously you don’t want to be involved in. I believe in my ability so obviously I think I am capable of playing and helping the team. So obviously it is frustrating not playing but you have to channel that frustration in a good way. Use your time wisely to work hard and prepare for when that opportunity arises.”

Eddie has made just three Premier League starts for Arsenal this season and has 11 substitute appearances to his name.

He has scored just one goal in the league and ironically it came against West Ham at the start of the season.

The 21-year-old has been far from prolific over the past couple of years at senior level.

Nketiah does have an exceptional record at youth level, however, with 46 goals in 58 games for the Gunners’ under-18’s and under-23’s ((Transfermarkt).

The 21-year-old has outstanding potential. It could be argued that he needs to beef up a bit if he is to succeed in the Premier League, however.

Who knows, if West Ham can pick him up for a decent fee this summer, he might end up being a great addition for us.

And perhaps Nketiah has just left the door ajar to a move to the London Stadium from Arsenal with his comments today.
