Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is keen to sign West Ham United target Samuel Chukwueze in the January transfer window.
That’s according to a report from Fichajes.net who claim that the Arsenal manager is keen to bolster his wide attacking ranks at the Emirates in January.
It now seems as though Arsenal could represent a big problem for West Ham though, with Arteta on the hunt for Samuel Chukwueze’s signature.
The Nigerian is very highly-rated in the game and he seems to have all of the attributes needed to succeed in the Premier League.

So could he be plying his trade in north or East London in the new year?
Arsenal eyeing up West Ham transfer target
Fichajes.net claim that the Gunners are eyeing up a January swoop for 23-year-old Villarreal forward Samuel Chukwueze.
The North London outfit are undoubtedly better placed than the Hammers to sign the Nigerian, and that is a huge shame in my opinion.
Chukwueze would be a superb addition for West Ham.
Sure, he’s not an orthodox centre-forward. He can play anywhere along the front-line, however, and is a frighteningly exciting young talent.
The 23-year-old has exceptional pace and possess terrific movement according to well known scouting website Breaking The Lines.
He has bagged three goals and four assists in 20 games for Villarreal so far this season (Transfermarkt).

Chukwueze has so much talent and potential. If David Moyes manages to bring him to the London Stadium in January or next summer, it would be a big statement of intent from the Hammers.
The Scot has two huge problems if he is to do that though.
The Nigeria international has an €80 million (£70 million) release clause inserted into his current contract with Villarreal (La Razon). His contract with the Lia Liga side is set to expire in the summer of 2024 though.
So perhaps they will be open to sell him for a whole lot cheaper than the release clause that has been reported.
There is another issue though, and that’s the alleged interest in Chukwueze from Arsenal. If Arteta makes a concrete move to sign him, it may well be curtains for West Ham. And that would be a real shame.
