Arsenal have reportedly made ‘exploratory contacts’ to sign West Ham United transfer target Vitor Roque.
That’s according to Brazilian media outlet UOL who claim that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is very keen to bring the talented teenager to the Emirates this summer.

Now, that will be a big problem for West Ham, with David Moyes allegedly keen to sign Roque as well.

West Ham tried to bring the 17-year-old winger to the London Stadium in the January transfer window (Mundo Deportivo).
It now seems like we could lose out to Arsenal in the race for the young attacker…
Arsenal make contact to sign Vitor Roque
According to UOL, the Gunners have made a move to sign the Brazilian, by making ‘exploratory contacts’ with his club Athletico Paranaense.
The 17-year-old is a really special talent and will undoubtedly go on to become a real star in the game.
Foot The Ball describe Roque as an ‘incredible’ young player. He is a truly stunning athlete with an incredibly high ceiling.

He can play on either wing or as a centre-forward, and he has already racked up a very respectable 14 goals and five assists in 57 senior appearances (Transfermarkt).
As you would imagine, the Brazilian possesses exceptional technical ability. He has incredible pace and strength for someone so young and is a really hard worker off the ball.
In my opinion, Vitor Roque will go on to become a real star in the game, so he’ll be well worth the £36 million fee. In fact, that will look like an absolute steal in a few year’s time.
Unfortunately for West Ham though, it appears as though Arsenal are in a far stronger position than us to sign Vitor Roque in the summer transfer window.
