An Arnaut Danjuma revelation could leave David Moyes with egg on his face in West Ham United’s forward hunt this summer.
The Guardian first revealed West Ham are seriously interested in Dutch forward Danjuma earlier this week.
And there has been claim and counter claim since about West Ham’s alleged move to sign the former Bournemouth attacker ever since.

The Hammers were linked with Danjuma – who can play on both wings and is often used as a striker by Villarreal – before he left Bournemouth for Spain (The Sun).
The move did not materialise and Danjuma has been a huge hit at the Yellow Submarine, scoring 10 goals and providing three assists in 23 games last season.
To add fuel to the transfer window rumour mill flames, Danjuma said in a recent interview that he would love to return to England again one day and still has family here.

A West Ham insider has told Claret and Hugh that the Hammers are not in for Danjuma as Moyes is ‘not convinced’ by the player.
“West Ham are not currently progressing in talks to sign Arnaut Danjuma, with boss David Moyes not convinced by the player,” an insider told Claret and Hugh.
And The Daily Mail stated yesterday that Moyes has pulled the plug on a move for Danjuma after deciding he isn’t the best fit for the Hammers.

The courage of Moyes’ conviction has to be admired. But the Scot’s decision has disappointed many West Ham fans who were excited by the potential move for Danjuma.
And a new Danjuma revelation could leave Moyes with egg on his face in his West Ham forward hunt this summer.
In the wake of the news of Moyes’ decision to snub Danjuma, football data analysis experts WhoScored – formerly Opta – did a goals to minutes played comparison alongside a number of West Ham stars.
The stats show Danjuma comfortably comes out on top by some distance.

The West Ham player with the best mins-per-goal ratio in the Premier League last season was Jarrod Bowen – every 136 minutes.
Said Benrahma was next (156 mins) followed by Michail Antonio (165 mins), Manuel Lanzini (223 mins) and Andriy Yarmolenko (304 mins).
Danjuma meanwhile beats the lot – and Bowen by a full 22 minutes – with a goal every 114 mins.

If Moyes fails to get the forward he wants for a third successive window then it could leave the West Ham boss with egg on his face and big questions to answer.
There are no guarantees Chelsea will sell Moyes’ alleged prime striker target Armando Broja.
And West Ham cannot afford to go into another season with Michail Antonio as their only senior striker.
