So could the Hammers be the club in for the former Chelsea ace?
Costa is available on a free transfer after having his contract with Atletico Madrid terminated.

And with West Ham in dire need of another centre-forward, it would be no surprise to see us bring the Spain international to the club on a short-term deal today.
The 32-year-old isn’t the player he once was. He still has a lot to offer at the highest level, however.
And let’s have it right, signing the former Chelsea man would be a whole lot better than bringing nobody in.
Diego Costa West Ham bound?
The Spaniard has been offered a deal up until the end of the season by an unnamed top six Premier League club according to Sky Sports News Transfer centre (Monday, February 1st, 12:05pm).

The 32-year-old has a fine record during his time in the game. He has scored 191 goals in 498 games games for club and country (Transfermarkt). The striker has also won two Premier League titles.
Costa is a real menace and has the kind of attitude and playing style David Moyes expects from his strikers.
Bringing the aggressive forward to the London Stadium wouldn’t be the worst idea in the world. Beggars can’t be choosers after all.
Only time will tell whether West Ham are the unnamed club who have allegedly offered Diego Costa a deal, however.
