If we aren’t, we certainly should be.

The report from Sky Sports claims that four Premier League clubs are chasing the 20-year-old Red Devils ace this month, whilst naming only Southampton as a potential destination for the defender.

With David Moyes in desperate need of signing another left-back or left wing-back, however, West Ham are surely one of the clubs looking at Brandon Williams.

Since Arthur Masuaku was forced to undergo knee surgery, the Hammers have been forced to switch to a back four.

Moyes’s side look far better when setup in a 5-3-2 or 5-2-3 formation, however. So signing a left wing-back should really be a priority for West Ham this month.

West Ham in for Brandon Williams?

The 20-year-old Manchester United ace would certainly be a useful addition for the Hammers this month.

He is an attacking left-back in every sense and would be perfectly suited to play the left wing-back role for West Ham.

Brandon Williams has recorded 14 assists in 57 games for Man United’s youth sides whilst chalking up three assists for their senior team (Transfermarkt).

The England under-21 is technically gifted, agile, energetic and has bundles of stamina. In other words, he would be absolutely ideal for West Ham. Our financial situation means that loan deals will be more likely than permanent ones this month.

The youngster has just one Premier League appearance to his name under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season. So a loan exit from Old Trafford could be just what he needs.

And if we are not one of the four clubs in for Brandon Williams, we really should be.
