A busy January transfer window continues at West Ham United.
Two new faces have already been brought in, and West Ham continue to push for new signings.
It remains to be seen if the club can do enough to pull themselves out of the relegation scrap but there has at least been movement.
There have been exits, too. Niclas Fullkrug was shipped out on loan to AC Milan, while Callum Marshall and George Earthy have also departed.
The chances of escaping relegation just went up 👆
Callum Wilson, however, looks set to stay.
Another player who has been let go is a certain Andy Irving. The 25-year-old had barely featured for West Ham United this season and has now joined Sparta Prague on a permanent deal.
Now, he has spoken.
Andy Irving sends message to Sparta Prague fans
The one-cap Scotland international completed his move to the Czech capital on Sunday night.
Irving, who joined West Ham from Austria Klagenfurt in 2022, quickly sent a message to the club’s supporters.
In a video posted by Sparta Prague’s official Twitter account, he said: “Hello Sparta fans! It’s Andy Irving here. Just want to say how excited I am to get started and cannot wait to play in front of you all.
“Come on Sparta.”
An absolute BALLER 😍 – Rate how good he was against Spurs!
Former Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky is the Czech club’s sporting director and in a statement posted on Sparta Prague’s official website, he said: “We know Andy well from his time in the Austrian league, where he was very productive.
“He has been on our radar ever since. He is a left-footed, intelligent, hard-working and constructive midfielder with good vision, capable of changing the tempo and point of attack, and with a strong feel for combination play.
“At the same time, he is diligent in defence and consistently fulfils his defensive duties. His quick decision-making, movement, overall activity and ability to solve situations impressed us, and we are very happy that he will strengthen our midfield.”

West Ham are set to sell another player soon
The movement looks set to continue in east London.
In fact, Guido Rodriguez looks on course to join Brazilian club Gremio, with the midfielder reportedly booked in for a medical.
Nuno Espirito Santo has long talked about West Ham’s need to rebalance their squad and they appear to be doing exactly that.
It remains to be seen if it’s enough, but Nuno is getting backed during that process.
Neither Irving nor Rodriguez will be a huge miss but it’s about streamlining the squad while making improvements where possible.
Lucas Paqueta’s potential exit should free up funds, too.
Indeed, it looks like it will be a busy end to the window for West Ham.
