West Ham United could now sign Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea after a move to bring in Harry Maguire from Manchester United collapsed.
According to Alex Crook when speaking on talkSPORT (16/08/23 at 8:55 am), Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is on the radar of West Ham as a potential summer transfer window alternative option to Harry Maguire.

Hammers boss David Moyes is desperately on the hunt for a new centre-back this summer, after a deal to sign Harry Maguire failed to materialise.
And now it seems like the Scot could be ready to raid one of West Ham’s London rivals for one of their defenders…

Alex Crook claims that the Hammers could now look to sign Chalobah from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
The talkSPORT reporter said:
“I wonder if West Ham will now arm their chance at Trevoh Chalobah down at Chelsea. A player I know they are willing to sell this summer. I think it would take a significant offer. But when we look at West Ham’s recruitment. David Moyes is favouring Premier League-based players. The likes of James Ward-Prowse, McTominay and Harry Maguire. It wouldn’t surprise me if they tested the water for Chalobah now.”

I would take Chalobah at West Ham all day long, and twice on a Sunday.
The Chelsea centre-back has absolutely everything needed to be a big player at the very highest level for the Hammers.
He’s quick along the ground, strong in the air and reads the game very well indeed.
Chalobah is a lot faster than Maguire, and is six years younger. He definitely has the potential to be a better player than the Manchester United defender.
West Ham failing to sign Harry Maguire may well end up being a blessing in disguise for us.
