Alleged West Ham target Ahmed Musa is desperate to return to the Premier League (BBC).

The Hammers were recently offered the 28-year-old forward on a free transfer according to a report from TEAMtalk.
David Moyes will undoubtedly be on the look out for another centre-forward in January.
And considering West Ham’s financial plight, signing the 95-capped Nigeria international on a free wouldn’t be outside the realms of possibility.
Musa would hardly be a ‘next level’ signing for the Hammers, however.
The 28-year-old was signed by Leicester in the summer of 2016 for around £16 million (BBC). He struggled to establish himself in the Premier League with the Foxes, however.
The 87-capped Nigeria international was swiftly shipped out on loan to CSKA Moscow before being sold permanently to Al-Nassr in the summer of 2018. He was then released last month by the Saudi Arabian club and is now available on a free transfer.
Surely West Ham can do better than Musa, however?
Nevertheless, the former Leicester City attacker told BBC Sport that his ultimate desire is to play at the very highest level once again:
“I left Saudi Arabia to continue my career at the top level in Europe and that’s the ambition. It’s true that there are genuine interest from different clubs, but my agent Tony is the one handling that. He knows what I want and I also know I want to play at the highest level. I said when I left Saudi Arabia that my utmost desire is to challenge myself competitively at the top level. I’ve continued to keep myself fit for the next challenge. But, like every player representing the country, I want to play at the highest level.”
That’s all well and good. Having ambition is admirable. But West Ham quite simply don’t need Ahmed Musa.
The Hammers could and should be doing a lot better than the Nigerian. The 28-year-old proved during his time with Leicester that he is just not good enough for the Premier League.
West Ham must avoid signing Musa. Even if he is available on a free transfer.
