Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to bolster his centre-forward ranks at the London Stadium this summer.

It could be argued that West Ham actually need to sign at least two established strikers.

Funds are tight in East London, however.

So Moyes will probably have to bring in a loan signing or a free transfer to accompany a potentially marquee addition.

Adam Armstrong could be West Ham bound

The Blackburn hitman could be on his way to the London Stadium if David Sullivan is prepared to stump up £20 million for his services according to The Lancashire Telegraph.

Armstrong would be the ideal addition for the Hammers this summer.

He fits the mould of a David Moyes signing perfectly.

The 24-year-old is incredibly mobile, possesses blistering pace and works his socks off each and every time he takes to the pitch.

Armstrong is a great finisher as well. He finished second in the Championship scoring charts behind only Ivan Toney with 28 goals in 40 league games for Blackburn this season (Transfermarkt).

If we’re being honest, however, £20 million seems like an awful lot of money for someone who has just 12 months remaining on his current deal.

Perhaps we will be able to bargain Blackburn down closer to the £15 million mark. Then it would be a deal worth pursuing for West Ham.
