Juventus are planning to make a move to sign West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca as soon as possible this summer.

According to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport (print edition May 5th, page 22), West Ham hitman Gianluca Scamacca is on the radar of Juventus ahead of the summer transfer window.

And with a July return to fitness expected for the 24-year-old, Juve will make a move to sign the 24-year-old as soon as possible.

Scamacca joined the Hammers in the summer of 2022 from Sassuolo for around £30.5 million (Evening Standard) – our fourth most expensive signing of all time behind only Sebastien Haller, Lucas Paqueta and Felipe Anderson.

However, the Italy international has struggled to establish himself at the London Stadium, with David Moyes’s painfully poor handling of the striker causing problems.

And it seems as though Scamacca’s days in East London could be done…

Gianluca Scamacca could leave West Ham for Juventus

The Serie A giants are set to make a move to sign the 24-year-old Hammers forward, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Scamacca recently underwent knee surgery, but it expected to return to fitness in July and Juventus will allegedly try to wrap up a deal for him as soon as possible.

I will be fuming if the Italian is moved on this summer. He is a great player but Moyes’s negative system is not conducive to strikers succeeding.

The 24-year-old was brilliant for Sassuolo last season because he had two narrow wingers operating close to him.

He has been completely isolated at West Ham, and Moyes is clearly to blame for that. If the Scot tweaks his system slightly next season, the former Sassuolo man will be a big hit at the London Stadium, I have no doubts about that.

However, it seems as though Gianluca Scamacca could leave West Ham to join Italian giants Juventus in the summer.

And if that happens, it will be a huge mistake from the club in my opinion.
