The agents of a top-class striker are pushing him into a move to West Ham United this summer it seems.
West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui is mounting an assault on the summer transfer window, and the addition of a top-class striker is said to be one of his two main priorities.
Jonathan David was touted with a move to the London Stadium a few days ago, but for now, another Hammers target has hit the headlines.
Whoever the centre-forward Lopetegui brings to West Ham is doesn’t really matter as long as he has a proven track record and is someone who will suit the Spaniard’s system.
The one big problem the Hammers boss faces is the fact that he has a summer budget of only £90 million at his disposal, albeit excluding any potential player sales.
So it’s not as if Lopetegui can go crazy making big offers left right and centre-for for numerous different strikers.
The former Wolves boss will need to be extremely thrifty and clever with his player recruitment, and he needs to get the striker signing bang on.
That’s why the latest link is such an exciting one. The player in question is available for a bargain fee and he’s ideally suited to the system that Lopetegui usually deploys…
Agents pushing striker into summer transfer window West Ham move
Lopetegui is clearly intent on building a squad capable of challenging for the top six spots in the Premier League this season.
It goes without saying that, in order to do just that, he needs to strengthen his squad in pretty much every single department.

That said, if he could make just one signing before the start of the new season, he would surely pick a new striker.
West Ham cannot afford to head into the 2024/25 campaign with Michail Antonio as our only option yet again.
The 34-year-old has been a fine servant for the Hammers, but Lopetegui needs to make a big upgrade on the striker if we’re to really kick on as a club.
And West Ham clearly have a very good chance to do just that this summer.
According to a report from Diario de Sevilla, the agents of Youssef En-Nesyri have given their blessing for the striker to move to West Ham this summer.
And what’s more, the 27-year-old hitman is said to be available for just £17-21 million – unreal value in this day and age.
It was recently claimed that the Morocco international is keen to join the Hammers this summer, and Lopetegui just has to make this one happen now.
He’s strong in the air, is always willing to run the channels to help create space for his teammates and is a very good finisher.
The Sevilla man possesses impressive pace and has everything needed to successfully spearhead the Hammers attack next season.
If West Ham manage to sign Youssef En-Nesyri for around £17-21 million in the summer transfer window, I think it will be a truly transformative signing for us.
