One West Ham United fringe player could be given a big chance to shine against Manchester United on Sunday.
West Ham are all set to welcome Manchester United to the London Stadium in the midst of a really poor run of form in the Premier League.
We’ve only had two wins in the league this season, and Julen Lopetegui is a man under real pressure – there’s tension behind the scenes regarding his summer recruitment as well.
The narrative will shift massively tomorrow if we manage to beat Man United.
However, the Hammers will have to make do without the suspended Mohammed Kudus.
Kudus let down Lopetegui, his teammates and the fans with his stupid sending off against Tottenham last week, and there’s no doubt that we will miss him.
That said, the Ghanian’s absence will open the door for another player to come into the side and make a big statement.

With Kudus out through suspension, Lopetegui has a big call to make.
I think Crysencio Summerville has to be given a big chance to prove himself now, over the next few weeks.

He has only played 170 Premier League minutes this term – nowhere near enough for a player with his ability.
The 22-year-old actually had the chance to join Chelsea and Liverpool in the summer, but opted for West Ham in the end due to the chances of more regular first-team football.
Lopetegui spoke to reporters yesterday and outlined how Kudus’s absence will be a big opportunity for someone else to step up, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
“I’m sure the player who takes Kudus’ place is going to do well.“
“Sometimes a problem is an opportunity.”
There you have it, the gauntlet has been laid down.
Kudus’s replacement has to be Summerville, it just has to be.
Now it’s up to the former Leeds United star to rise up to the challenge. He’s more than good enough as far as I’m concerned.
Summerville has explosive pace, terrific movement and really impressive finishing ability in his locker.
And I’m really hopeful that he will produce the goods for West Ham against Manchester United at the London Stadium tomorrow.
