Aaron Cresswell absolutely raved about one West Ham player after our win against Norwich City last night.
The Hammers won the game comfortably 2-0 in the end. In fact, the scoreline should have been much more convincing.
David Moyes will be delighted with his side’s victory. And he will be over the moon with three Premier League wins on the bounce.
That really is difficult to do in the hardest, toughest and most physically challenging league in the world.
It was great to have Aaron Cresswell back. The 32-year-old makes such a huge difference for us down the left-hand side, both from a defensive and an attacking perspective.
Cresswell had been out injured since late November and his return to action was a timely one indeed.
The Liverpool-born defender played a key role for us during our win last night. He was incredibly impressed with one of his teammates though…
Cresswell raves about one West Ham player after win over Norwich
The match-winner last night for the Hammers was Jarrod Bowen.
The 25-year-old has been sensational for West Ham so far this season. He was in great form once again last night against Norwich. His two goals ended up winning the game for the East London outfit.
Jarrod now has eight goals and 10 assists to his name in 30 games for the Hammers this term (Transfermarkt).
Cresswell spoke to WHUFC.com after last night’s win and admitted that he was blown away by his teammate’s display against the Canaries:
“Jarrod tonight carried on the form he’s been in. He’s been unbelievable. You look at his numbers, his goals and his assists, and he’s been unbelievable. I think he should have had three or four goals.”
Bowen is undoubtedly a man on fire at the moment.
He has been West Ham’s standout performer, alongside Declan Rice, over the past few months.
Bowen has gone from strength to strength this season and David Moyes deserves huge credit for getting the best out of him.
The sky really is the limit for the former Hull City star.
At 25, he hasn’t even reached his prime yet.
Bowen is well on course to bag 25-30 goals involvements this season for West Ham. If the Hammers ace does that consistently over the course of the next two or three seasons, he will undoubtedly become respected as a truly world-class, elite Premier League player.
He was always an incredibly talented young player when he was at Hull but he has taken huge strides over the past two years. Bowen is now undoubtedly much more than just a very good player.
Let’s hope that David Moyes manages to keep him at the London Stadium.
There is no reason why we shouldn’t be able to do that though, he seems more than happy at West Ham. He is still under contract with the Hammers until the summer of 2025.
So West Ham hold all the cards. One would assume that we will have to match Bowen’s ambition, however, if he is to remain in East London for the best years of his career.
With David Moyes at the helm, though, we think there is every chance that Bowen will want to hang around and be a part of the Scot’s project.
