The West Ham United squad are set to fly to Scotland this morning as a return date for Declan Rice and co is confirmed.
Some of West Ham’s players were back at Rush Green yesterday for the usual pre-season testing.
That saw the likes of Angelo Ogbonna, Arthur Masuaku, Craig Dawson, Michail Antonio, Lukasz Fabianski, Kurt Zouma, Aaron Cresswell and other players who have not been involved in international action back at the club.

West Ham’s players underwent a host of tests culminating in a 1km time trial.
Today pre-season officially gets underway for West Ham and David Moyes will take his squad back to his homeland in Scotland.
The squad will fly to Scotland for a pre-season training camp at the famous St Andrew’s.
Moyes has taken West Ham to St Andrew’s in each of the last two pre-seasons.

West Ham will stay at the “home of golf” for five days before heading to France for a week-long camp in Evian-les-Bains.
That will build up to West Ham’s first match of pre-season at Swiss Super League club Servette on Friday July 8.
And with the West Ham squad set to fly to Scotland a return date for Declan Rice and co has been confirmed.

West Ham’s current senior international players such as talisman Rice will return in early July according to the club.
“Moyes and his staff have given those players a welcome break to refresh and recharge body and mind for a season that will see West Ham compete in four competitions for the second year in a row,” West Ham said on the club website.
The likes of Rice, Tomas Soucek and Jarrod Bowen really do need – and have certainly earned – the break.
Modern players tend to keep themselves in tip, top shape in the off season given the huge physical demands of top level football.

So when they link back up with the rest of their teammates in a couple of weeks it will not take them too long to catch up.
The pre-season match at Reading looks a likely first taste of match action for Rice and co – or possibly an easing in of those internationals across two games at Ipswich and Boreham Wood a few days before.
