The Blades are still searching for their first win since returning to the top flight but it was never on the cards in the Carlos Tevez derby against West Ham.

Slick first half goals from Jarrod Bowen and Tomas Soucek made things comfortable for the Hammers.

And while there was more intent from Sheffield United in the the second half, they did little to truly trouble David Moyes’ side.

There’s no love lost between West Ham and Sheffield United fans over the infamous Tevez saga.

But some great banter ensued between the rival supporters inside the London Stadium.

West Ham are proudly letting the opposition know about their European trophy win in every game this season. And rightly so.

West Ham fans belted out their “Champions of Europe” chant to the visiting Sheffield United supporters. Telling them for good measure that ‘they’ll never sing that’.

And what Sheffield United fans sang to West Ham as a Europe boast retort was actually quite brilliant.

East enders are famed for their wit.

But the Blades matched them today with some self-deprecating gallows humour as they responded: “Champions of League One, you’ll never sing that”.

Fair play to the Blades fans on that one. It certainly raised a laugh among the Hammers fans.
