West Ham United are thought to be closing in on what would be a truly brilliant ninth signing of the summer transfer window.
It has already been an extremely hectic summer transfer window for West Ham head coach Julen Lopetegui, with eight new signings and six exits.
Further outgoings are expected, with Kurt Zouma, Danny Ings and Maxwel Cornet all thought to be up for the chop.
Moving on those players would free up some serious cash from the wage-bill, and it would enable Lopetegui to attack the transfer market once again.
The Hammers have already enjoyed a fantastic summer window, and I would grade it at around a 9/10 so far.
Lopetegui has strengthened his squad in pretty much every department, whilst only spending around £130 million so far.
However, there is one area that needs to be bolstered even further still, and it seems like the West Ham head coach has the perfect answer.
West Ham zone in on £20m star in bid to complete 10/10 window
Lopetegui is far from done in his player recruitment this summer it seems.
That’s because yet another new player could be London Stadium bound very shortly indeed.

According to The Mirror (print edition August 15th, page 52), the Hammers are closing in on a deal to sign Carlos Soler from Paris Saint-Germain for £20 million.
West Ham have been heavily linked with a move to sign the Spain international already this summer, and what a signing he would be for us.
Soler is a sensational footballer, and he would take us to a whole new level as far as strength in depth is concerned.
He bagged two goals and two assists in 24 Ligue 1 games for PSG last season, but only 12 of those appearances were starts.
Despite playing just 1,089 minutes in the league last season, the Spain international still averaged 30.8 passes per game, and registered a completion rate of 87.5% (Who Scored).
His ability on the ball and cool and composed nature makes him ideally suited to Lopetegui’s system, with the West Ham boss keen for his team to play out from the back and on into midfield.
Carlos Soler would provide great competition and cover for Lucas Paqueta at West Ham, and for just £20 million, we really can’t go wrong by signing him.
Who knows, if the worst case scenario comes to fruition for the Brazilian regarding the betting charges being levelled against him, the Spaniard could well be the ideal replacement for him.
If West Ham sign the 27-year-old this summer, it will undoubtedly complete a perfect 10/10 window for us.
