Man United set to have huge say in West Ham’s Champions League dream

And West Ham are desperate for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to win both games to reignite their dreams of making the top four.

Given the close proximity of the matches, West Ham boss Moyes and Hammers fans have been concerned Man United would make wholesale changes.

Solskjaer initially insisted West Ham’s hopes of a top four spot were ‘not his problem’ (Sky Sports).

That angered Moyes who questioned the integrity of the Premier League (Manchester Evening News).

Solskjaer then softened his stance when speaking to the press ahead of the Leicester.

Solskjaer had reassured Moyes he was going for the win

The Norwegian moved to reassure Moyes and West Ham fans that he would be going all out to win both games because he has his own disgruntled supporters to appease (Sky Sports).

But West Ham fans will be fuming if this leaked Man United team to face the Foxes is true.

Because it is very much a second string side with the likes of Brandon Williams, Axel Tuanzebe, Eric Bailly, Nemanja Matic, Donny van de Beek, Juan Mata and 19-year-old striker Anthony Elanga making his first team debut.

Leaked Man United team will infuriate West Ham if accurate

West Ham need Man United to beat Leicester and Liverpool.

If that happens – and the Hammers win at a depleted Brighton on Saturday – West Ham will very much be in with a major chance of Champions League qualification.

By resting players against Leicester, Solskjaer is clearly saving his stars for the Liverpool game.

That is good news for West Ham in one respect. But only if this second string can get a result against the Foxes to pile the pressure on Brendan Rodgers.

West Ham fans will no doubt be watching tonight with bated breath.
