The Portuguese has also perplexed the hierarchy over his reluctance to use a number nine.

As things stand, Nuno is set to be in charge for the game between West Ham and Brighton on 30 December.
However, fear is growing behind the scenes over the possibility of ending their 14-year stay in the Premier League.

Talks have not begun with any other manager thus far, but things could certainly change if results do not improve.
It remains to be seen if the hierarchy goes down the route of bringing in a relegation specialist or if they go ambitious and try to secure someone like Erik ten Hag or Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Both managers are currently out of work and have decent results in the Premier League for the Hammers to take a punt on.
