West Ham star Mohammed Kudus has reacted after a player copied his goal celebration and nearly started a riot at Birmingham.

Mohammed Kudus has been scoring so many goals for West Ham, his celebration is already famous.

You all know it by now, Kudus puts the ball in the net then makes his way over to the advertising hoardings and takes a seat facing the pitch with thousands of fans in raptures behind him.

Well in West Ham’s 3-0 win over Wolves, Kudus went one step further, taking a seat on the hoardings facing the opposition fans.

And he was joined by fellow Hammers star Lucas Paqueta. Luckily there’s no great rivalry between West Ham and Wolves, so the celebration did not cause the chaos it might have had it been another team.

It did when Birmingham City took on Leicester City on Monday night, though.

Player copies Kudus’ celebration and nearly causes a riot

West Ham star Kudus has reacted after a player copied his goal celebration and nearly started a riot at Birmingham.

Leicester star Stephy Mavididi scored twice as the Foxes beat Wayne Rooney’s Birmingham 3-2 at St Andrews.

And he was booked after copying Kudus’ celebration with the West Ham star’s Ghana teammate Abdul Fatawu.

It’s safe to say the Birmingham supporters did not like it one bit, rushing down the stands to remonstrate and abuse Mavididi, who was booked for the celebration.

West Ham star reacts on social media

Mavididi’s manager – former West Ham coach Enzo Maresca – did not like it either when asked about it following the match.

But Kudus certainly did.

The Hammers hero has taken to social media to post about the celebration. Kudus posted a picture of the Leicester players doing his celebration at Birmingham alongside two chairs, a handshake and heart emojis.

He also tagged Fatawu and Mavididi into the post, which you can see below.

Speaking ahead of the Wolves clash, Kudus revealed the meaning behind his now famous – or rather infamous in Birmingham – goal celebration.
