West Ham United star Michail Antonio has savagely trolled Jamie Redknapp ahead of a TV appearance this week.

Antonio has been massive for West Ham under David Moyes.

His performances and goals have been key to the club’s progress from relegation candidates to a genuine European outfit over the last couple of years.

But the Jamaican forward is now moving behind the curtain while £35m new arrival Gianluca Scamacca takes centre stage at West Ham.

Antonio looks set to be West Ham’s man to come off the bench as Moyes evolves a team he conceded himself had become ‘stale’.

But he will be taking centre stage this week when he appears in the latest episode of A League Of Their Own on Sky.

The popular fun sports series was the brainchild of huge West Ham fan and its former presenter James Corden.

And Hammers captain Declan Rice stole the show when he appeared on an episode earlier in the series, rapping his ‘Rice, Rice, Baby’ take on the Vanilla Ice classic Micah Richards and Jamie Redknapp.

West Ham star Antonio savagely trolls Redknapp ahead of the big TV appearance on ALOTO.

Hammers striker Antonio posted a clip of him ribbing Redknapp on the show, which airs Thursday, saying: “Had a laugh on ALOTO… not sure if Jamie did watch it tomorrow at 9pm on Sky Max and NOW.”

The clip shows a moment when Redknapp – son of ex West Ham player and manager Harry – questions why current footballers wear shinpads with pictures of their family on.

“It’s a bit odd though really because someone’s kicking your family then really, think about it,” Redknapp says.

To which West Ham star Antonio responds: “Everyone’s quite quick these days Jamie, no-one is as slow as you so you don’t really get kicked anymore.”

The comment draws a mixture of laughs and gasps from the crowd.

And host Romesh Ranganathan interjects saying: “Jesus Christ, he’s coming in hot.”

West Ham fans will be hoping Antonio is coming in hot when he starts up front for the Hammers against Anderlect in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night, a few hours before his ALOTO episode goes live.
